Week 3 - Notes and Activities

Class Time: 9am - 11am, Location I206.

This week our main focus will be on working on your 5min pitch for the online magazine/website. We'll be meeting as a class to discuss the project first, followed by library/computer time to work in groups on your pitch.

Some issues to consider for your pitch are as follows

• Clearly state the project aims - in this case to develop an online magazine which engages young people in issues which are relevent to them
• Demonstrate your overall strategy - how will you achieve your project goals
• Detail the product - what will it look like, what will be included in terms of content?
• Provide Research/Background Information
• Provide an overview of the resources you will require for the project
• Include examples - show a proposed layout or a demo piece of multimedia during your pitch

Researching for Your Pitch

Its important to show a clear understanding of the audience you will be trying to engage.. this will help you to decide on the form, function and content of the online publication you are proposing. Of course there's lots of things online you could consider!
