Jill would need to organise equipment, supplies and people to make her project happen. Planning to organise the right time to find relevant resources. When I was working within a team, I checked to see that there was enough merchandise, and if there was not enough, then I would have went to the storeroom to get some more merchandise.

Common problems at projects is other staff not willing to listen to what Aren has to say, all Arens staff cares about is their own opinion, they think what they say is right, and they do not want to change their view on situations. The staff have negative attitudes towards timeframe, they feel there is too much work to be done in limited time as other staff need to be somewhere else, it might be at an appointment or they don't like the project that they need to do.

To initiate might be an issue. Trying to get others to agree or be satisfied with what other team members had to say. It is important for every team member to agree on time of when the project needs to be completed. Planning phase, organising phase and controlling, and close phase there needs to be some employee who would be good at been in charge and taking responsibility. The plan needs to be implemented and monitored properly. recruiting the right team, obtaining resources, monitoring and assessing the project, and managing risks. Aren might choose some employee who he thought he can rely on until some issue came up, turning late for the projects.

I thought these interesting websites are great to navigate social networking websites and interesting to view.
Ning.com Is a good tool to navigate what is happening within peoples local areas, If the area of where the person lives has changed an example, there is a new shopping center that will be ready to open soon.
Meetsee- It looks very interesting to view varies sections of this site, how people could chat, share files.
Ustream - It is interesting to view different broadcasts, videos or up coming.

All very usefull sites. Esspecially for conecting people who are geogrphically apart.
Ning being a social network would work well with managing a project as it connects people together who have similar interests. It allows for group members to edit content so it could be a collaborative site.
Network building lets you meet people who you wopuld not be able to meet in everyday life. It connects people and allows for relationships both personal and business to develop. It's who you know not what you know. Sites like Ning allow for people to network and build on their interests.
Pros are that these sights allow for people to connect and work together from all walks of life. Cons are amll as long as you use them wisely. People may use these sights for personal gain or other reasons. Being wise these tools will only benefit the user.

-time management within seperate teams
-priorities
-different skill level
-miscommunication between teams

What do you think about these tools? Are they useful?

They are ALL useful!! Ning is very cool. I just wish I'd discovered it before Angelfire, Myspace, Flickr and Facebook. One can only have sooo many social networking accounts!

How could you use them to manage a team or project?

I have been involved in a Ning group. It was handy for organising an event and 'getting to know' the people who were invited to the event as they were from many different geographical locations and all walks of life. It was brilliant for getting everyone together!

What value do they have for building networks?

Excellent value! I think Ning betters Facebook in that you don't have to have the 'what are you doing now?' newsfeed being sent out to everyone you've ever 'befriended' as on Facebook. It can get quite complicated as I have contacts who are my close friends and also work colleagues. I don't necessarily want my work colleagues to know what I'm up to from minute to minute!

MeetSee is especially good for maintaining your network with people - particularly if you don't see them very often (or ever in terms of international contacts).

What are the pros and cons of using these types of tools?

MeetSee is super cool! I was MOST impressed with that one!!! I think the animated meeting room is very, very cute but it is also quite a sophisticated tool with file sharing capabilities etc. I can DEFINITELY see applications for that in the workplace - particularly those with depts in different parts of the state - or country - or the world! The possibilities are ENDLESS! I can't wait til I finally get to work for an organisation that is cool enough to use MeetSee!!!

Cons... Hard to think of any really. Maybe it might be lost on some of the older generation? esp. if they are technophobes.
One other possibility is that people might not take it seriously and may accidently use the tool in an unprofessional manner - e.g. being too colloquial, too much like a character and less like their 'work self'.

great network and a interesting site, graphics were so good and thing like ning is starting my interest towards aspects of technology i think a tool like this taps in on individuals interests and finds a common ground.

another social net working site you say, well lets face it they are fun. i was impressed by ning. and all it had to offer

pro's would be easy assessable.
con's not the same if you were physically meeting these people who shared similar interests to you.

a project event that i have been involved in for the last three years is Marty and ericas kids for convoy a charity event that raises money for camp quality helping children and their families who suffer from cancer the even is created with only the purest intentions as all money raised goes into the organization

problems i have faced over the three years include

personal clashes with staff and team mates over personal opinions and others thinking that their is onkly way way to go about a task.
different points of veiw, laziness, and "not caring factor"
being told how to act
the communication is down right terrible sometimes at 198 due to the fact that there is always something that goes left undone.
while working for camp quality i98 promotions and then having input of other professionals can be confusing
